Study Areas and Rooms in the Phillips Library

Quiet Floor

  • 2nd Floor Open Space - Individual study carrels and tables with chairs
  • Available on a first-come, first-served basis

Group Study Areas and Rooms

  • 1st Floor Reference Area - All seating/tables are available on a first-come, first-served basis, not by reservation. Talking at respectful loudness levels is allowed.
  • 2nd Floor, Room 204 (at the west end of the building)
    • Reservations required. See the reservation instructions and calendar for Room 204 on this page for help making reservations.
    • A white board is in the room.  Dry erase markers can be checked out at library Circulation Desk.

Other Study Areas in the Library -  For study rooms on the 2nd floor at the east end of the building, contact Academic Support Center about usage and reservations.

Contact a librarian by chat, in person in the library, or phone to schedule a group study room.

Reservation Guidelines

  • The rooms are for study only. Student organization groups seeking meeting space should contact the faculty adviser for help finding a meeting room.
  • Reservations are given to study groups of 3 to 8 people. 
  • The time limit for the room is 2 hours.
  •  A group may reserve a room a maximum of once a day for a maximum of 2 times per week.
  •  Reservations are held for 15 minutes.  If  group does not show, then the time will be opened for new reservations.
