Scott Library Information

All registered AU students, faculty and staff are able to check out Phillips Library and/or Scott Library materials with their AU ID card or a photo ID. Alumni are able to check out materials with their AU Alumni card obtained from Alumni Relations:

Students: 28 days, 3 renewals
Faculty: 112 days, 3 renewals
Alumni: 28 days, 3 renewals

Media:
Students: 14 days, no renewals
Faculty: 14 days, no renewals
Alumni: not available to check-out

Curriculum Collection:
Students: 7 days, 1 renewal
Faculty: 7 days, 1 renewal
Alumni: 7 days, 1 renewal

Students and faculty are limited to a total of 100 items checked out; Alumni are limited to 10 items checked out.

Phillips Library and Scott Library do NOT assess daily fines.  If an item is not returned it is considered "lost."

Students: $60 lost item + $15 processing fee
If item is returned before fines are reported to Student Accounts fines are forgiven; if returned after reported to Student Accounts all but $5 is forgiven. Payable at Student Accounts.

Faculty: $60 lost item + $15 processing fee
If item is returned all fines are forgiven.

Alumni: $60 lost item + $15 processing fee

Students: $135 lost item + $15 processing fee
If item is returned before fines are reported to Student Accounts fines are forgiven; if returned after reported to Student Accounts all but $5 is forgiven. Payable at Student Accounts.

Faculty: $135 lost item + $15 processing fee
If item is returned all fines are forgiven.

Alumni: $135 lost item + $15 processing fee
