Appointments can be made up to 2 weeks in advance. Students are allowed 2 one hour appointments per week per type (writing, science, math). Drop-in services such as Math Lab, recitation or participation in a PASS group are not counted toward a student's appointment total.
On our writing calendar, if an appointment is not available at a desired time, students may sign up for the waiting list. If an appointment is canceled, students on the waiting list will be notified via text or email that a time slot has opened up. The notified student must then log on to aurora.mywconline.com and schedule the appointment. If the appointment slot is shown as not available, it means someone else also received the wait list message and has already schedule a new appointment. Appointments are scheduled on a first come first served basis.
Students who are more than 10 minutes late for their appointments will forfeit their time slot to walk-in or waiting list appointments. We ask students to refrain from bringing children to tutoring appointments.
Authorized cancellations can be made up to 8 hours in advanceof your content appointment or 5 hours in advance of your writing appointment. by logging into the scheduling system at http://aurora.mywconline.com and scrolling to the bottom and hit cancel this appointment.
After 2 absences for any ASC tutoring sessions during the semester, students will be unable to schedule additional appointments. An absence is failure to show up for an appointment without making an authorized cancelation request as outlined above. Students remain eligible for ASC walk-in and drop-in sessions.
If you have any questions about the ASC Appointment Policy contact Julie Hall, ASC Director at 630-844-5454 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Students must be in a quiet environment with a microphone and video capabilities and dedicated to the appointments. Please avoid driving and/or trying to perform your work duties simultaneous with a tutoring appointment.
