Appointment Policy

ASC Appointment Policy and Information

Appointments can be made up to 2 weeks in advance. Students are allowed 2 appointments per week per type (writing, science, math). Drop-in services such as Math Lab, recitation or participation in a PASS are not counted toward this total.

If an appointment is not available at a desired time, students may sign up for the waiting list. If an appointment cancels or is marked as missed, students on the waiting list will be notified via text or email that a time slot has opened up.  The notified student must then log on to aurora.mywconline.com and schedule the appointment.  If the appointment slot is shown as not available, it means someone else also received the wait list message and has already schedule a new appointment.  Appointments are scheduled on a first come first served basis.

Appointments are scheduled on the hour and half hour. Appointments are 25 or 50 minutes in length which allows for staff to complete the required paperwork in between appointments.

Students who are more than 10 minutes late for their appointments will forfeit their time slot to walk-in or waiting list appointments.

Authorized cancellations can be made up to 8 hours in advance of your appointment by logging into the scheduling system at http://aurora.mywconline.com. Students can also make appointment modifications by calling the ASC during business hours (8am-8pm Monday-Thursday, 8am-5pm Friday, 9am-2pm Saturday) at 630-844-5520.

After 2 absences for any ASC tutoring sessions during the semester, students will be unable to schedule additional appointments. An absence is failure to show up for an appointment without making an authorized cancelation request as outlined above. Students remain eligible for ASC walk-in and drop-in sessions.

If you have any questions about the ASC Appointment Policy contact Julie Hall, ASC Director at 630-844-5454 or jhall@aurora.edu.
