Please contact the Instructional Services Librarian with questions about support.
Request Spring and Summer 2025 Library Instructional Support
Please submit one form for each course.
Note: Requests placed too close to the date may not be possible to fulfill.
Are you teaching ENG 1000? Use this form, instead.
Visit requests submitted before the semester begins will have scheduling priority. Visits must be requested a minimum of 10 days in advance.
Requests for videos require at least 14 days’ notice, with all assignment and course details provided at that time.
Details of associated research assignments (including due dates, example topics, and source requirements) and the amount of time a librarian may expect to have at their visit must be communicated at least ten days in advance of the visit to allow staff enough time to prepare. Failure to share this information in a timely manner may require rescheduling the class visit.
If the professor will not be present during a library visit, a graded element must be connected to the visit. Librarians have observed much better engagement when the students have to apply what they learned in an instructor’s absence. If you are unsure what that might look like for your class, the Instructional Services Librarian can help.
Advance notice of any cancellations or rescheduling is appreciated. Of course, occasionally, these changes will be at the last minute due to illness or extenuating circumstances. Please communicate with the Instructional Services Librarian if there will be a change to your course—such as a late start or cancellation—on a day a librarian is scheduled to visit. If the librarian is suddenly unable to come or find a replacement, this will be communicated via the course instructor's AU email.
Exceptions may be made to this policy based on staff availability.
