About Phillips Library

Phillips Library houses a collection of more than 50,000 books and 6,500 multimedia materials. Electronic resources include 148,000 ebooks and an online catalog networked with 80 academic and research libraries in the state. More than 80 indexes and online databases provide current students, faculty, and staff with access to 37,000 unique periodical titles. Over 80 online subject research guides are also available. Phillips Library is open 102 hours a week, seven days a week when classes are in session, and offers a variety of services to the campus community.

Computers:

  • 10 available in the Phillips Library lobby
  • 30 available in the Computer Lab in the Phillips Library

Laptops:

  • 11 available for use in Phillips Library
  • 3-hour loan period with 1 renewal
  • Ability to print to the Phillips Library printer
  • Photo ID required
  • $865 fine for lost laptop

Scanner:

  • Computer Lab in the Phillips Library
  • Additional scanners are available in the Dunham Hall computer labs.

Scan to Flashdrive:

  • Photocopier in the Phillips Library lobby
  • Request assistance at the Information and Help Desk or the Technology Help desk

  • Available throughout Phillips Library
  • Printing available only from Phillips Library laptops
  • Login using your AU username and password

Regular Printing:

  • Available from all Phillips Library computers and laptops
  • Wireless printing from personal devices is not supported
  • Black and white printing only.
  • Free

Color Printing

Photocopying:

  • Available near the Information Services Desk
  • Black and white photocopying only.  Color copying is not available in Phillips Library
  • For color copying or printing please contact the AU Copy Center

Fax:

  • The multi-function device in the library lobby may be used to fax
  • Request assistance at the Information and Help Desk or the Technology Help desk
  • Free

Stapler, paper-cutter and three-hole punch:

  • Available and free

Library Code of Conduct

Woodstock Center

All services and resources provided by the Phillips Library on the library website and in the library building on the Aurora campus are available to the Woodstock Center (WC).

WC students may check out materials (books, videos, CD's) in the collection in the library building on the Aurora Campus. The ways to check them out are to:

  • come to Phillips Library or
  • send a request to docdel@aurora.edu; include information about the item(s) and the your AU email address; a librarian will reply to the email; the materials will be delivered to the WC campus.
