1. What browsers does Third Iron support for LibKey Nomad?

LibKey Nomad supports Chrome (the world's most popular browser) as well as FirefoxSafariMicrosoft EdgeBrave and Vivaldi.

Note that LibKey Nomad is compatible with desktop/laptop browsers only and is not compatible with mobile- or tablet-based browsers.

2. How do I install LibKey Nomad?

Installation in Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, Brave & Vivaldi is simple! Just visit libkeynomad.com and click the icon for your browser. Your browser will then ask you to confirm. Choose your institution at the resulting LibKey interface and you are all set!

3.  Do you need to create an account to use Nomad? I want to protect my information.

You don't need an account, and it never collections your personal information or stores your school login. It only works on certain trusted websites like PubMed, Wikipedia, or publisher pages, where it helps you find full-text articles. It doesn't run on other sites, and it follows modern web security standards to protect your data while you browse. LibKey Nomad keeps your information safe and private. 

4. Why isn't LibKey appearing on certain sites? I have the browser extension installed on my computer.

LibKey will only be prompted if an article has a valid PMID or DOI number. With E-Books, LibKey will only appear if it can match the ISBN of the title that the library owns and is available in our catalog.
